Water, Sanitation & Hygiene
Zaimo Foundation supports water infrastructure from the first geological assessment to the moment safe water reaches a village tap or school drinking station.
The Foundation's WASH work includes hydro-geological surveys, deep borehole drilling, sweet-water aquifer identification, pumping, storage, distribution and sanitation renovation.

Weatherproof housing
Tanzania Shelter Project
With MAA International, Zaimo Foundation is developing improved brick-and-mortar homes for families living in inadequate shelters in rural Tanga.

Reference SHL-PO-2025-ZMF-TZA-TZA-001. Beneficiary agreements establish land rights, usage guidelines and maintenance commitments, while field progress is recorded through MAA PowerApps.
Mid-2026 reported status
13 houses had reached structural completion with roofs, windows and doors; 2 had entered final plastering and painting; 1 initial house had been fully completed and handed over.
These are reported workflow indicators. Construction stages may overlap, so the figures are not added into a new total.
