Zaimo Foundation is a registered non-governmental organization operating in Tanzania, rooted in rural Mkinga District and focused on practical responses to fundamental socio-economic challenges.
Who we are
A Tanzanian foundation built close to the communities it serves.
From Welaz in Mtimbwani Village, Zaimo Foundation works with village leadership, school committees, ward authorities and humanitarian partners to plan and deliver durable community projects.
Our major areas of work include clean water access, WASH, weatherproof housing, educational infrastructure, emergency food assistance, Ramadan food programs, Qurban programs and community infrastructure.

Between 2022 and 2026, Zaimo Foundation's humanitarian activities expanded beyond Mkinga District into Tanga, Korogwe, Lushoto, Pangani, Kigoma, Pemba and Rufiji.
