Headquartered in Mtimbwani Ward, Zaimo Foundation addresses critical socio-economic and public health challenges across Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. From 2020 through 2026, the Foundation has documented over 15 major capital interventions across deep water wells (WASH), weatherproof family shelter, emergency food relief, seasonal Qurban, mobile medical clinics, and school infrastructure.

Mwanahamisi’s Story: When Compassion Opens the Door to Healthcare
For Mwanahamisi and her family, accessing healthcare had become a difficult journey while living with rheumatic heart disease.
Living with rheumatic heart disease, 13-year-old Mwanahamisi required urgent medical attention, but the financial challenges facing her family made obtaining the care she needed increasingly difficult. After seeking assistance, Mwanahamisi received support from Zaimo Foundation, which helped cover the cost of her medical care at Al Hayat Polyclinic—easing the family’s financial burden and enabling her to access medical management for her condition.
Every person deserves dignity, compassion, and the opportunity to access the care they need. Mwanahamisi’s journey reminds us that meaningful change begins with simply helping someone take the next step.

In Tibirinzi, Chake Chake, Pemba, Tanzania (2025), Zaimo Foundation is managing the finishing phase in the construction of a residential house for a Madrasa teacher—complete with solid masonry walls, roofing sheets, and custom wooden doors. Alongside our Pemba teacher housing work, 15 complete family homes have been engineered across rural Tanga with reinforced concrete footings, brick masonry, timber trusses, and weatherproof iron roofing.
